In the past two weeks I have continued to edit my film. After reading the film text book, I have decided to make the running shots shorter in order to have it more suspenseful and seem more exciting. I have also decided to use dramatic music when the monster appears in order to make the scene more suspenseful. One thing I have decided to change is the beginning. In the beginning I originally shot it with one of the characters laying on the bed reading a book. Now, I have decided that it would be better to have a shot the woods, the house, and the sky in general to create an establishing shot and to make everything seem normal. I think this would scare the audience more as the story continues to become more horrific because the audience did not expect the outcome. I think this would also be beneficial because we can have a voice over on these scenes. I will also focus on emphasizing between the differences in image mood and sound mood. I will correlate the two mood and insure that I find the correct type of sound to fit the image.

I have also looked more in depth at these two videos in order to learn more about the edits of a horror film. During the next two weeks, I am going to go through the reel and ensure that all of the edits are what I wanted to created. I will also see if the edits look professional and in sink with the audio
